Are you passionate about building exceptional mobile experiences and leading high-performing engineering teams? At MyTime, we seek a seasoned iOS Architect & Director of Mobile Engineering to guide our mobile strategy, lead a talented team, and drive the evolution of our mobile apps used daily by thousands of businesses. Responsibilities include: Owning the architectural direction of our 100% native iOS app built in Swift and Objective-C. Designing scalable, performant, and testable solutions for features supporting appointment scheduling, payments, and customer engagement. Leading initiatives to improve code structure, reliability, and scalability. Collaborating with backend engineers for seamless API integration. Leading explorations and proofs of concept for new technologies. As Director of Mobile Engineering: Leading and growing a 5-person mobile development team, fostering a culture of quality and innovation. Defining engineering best practices for maintainable code and efficient workflows. Partnering with Product, Design, QA, and the CTO to deliver impactful features. Supporting sprint planning, milestone delivery, and roadmap execution. Mentoring engineers and supporting career development. This role involves collaboration across teams, emphasizing ownership, empowerment, and data-driven decisions to elevate our app following best practices. Guiding iOS and Android teams on architectural principles. Understanding APIs and application logic through feedback and collaboration. Identifying technical enablers for new features and scalability. Monitoring solution maturity and ensuring proper client-server communication. Overseeing operational stability and performance monitoring. Refactoring code for testability, documenting, and ensuring coverage. Conducting POCs and investigations. Building relationships within the team and fostering collaboration. Conducting regular one-on-one meetings for feedback and development. Within 6 Months:
Developing architectural solutions focusing on scalability and fault tolerance. Estimating work accurately and understanding major feature areas. Participating in feature architecture and implementation. Playing a key role in hiring and onboarding new engineers. Ideal Candidate:
Has built and designed large iOS applications using Objective-C and/or Swift. Experienced in handling large data applications. Makes decisions based on data and evidence. Enjoys iterative, agile development with frequent releases. Writes high-quality, maintainable code. Familiar with iOS libraries and tooling. Excited about learning new business models and translating them into software. Collaborates effectively with stakeholders. Qualifications
9+ years of native iOS development experience, including enterprise-level architecture and development. Proven leadership in roles like Architect, Tech Lead, or Team Lead. Experience with high-load client-backend applications. Strategic mindset with hands-on guidance skills.
