We are searching for a solid professional to join our inTEST family as an

Sales Engineer

that reports directly to North Asia Regional Sales Manager (RSM). This critical role supports the EMS business and is a part of the Electronic Test division. This division is on a trajectory of growth and provides an opportunity to support a global organization.

This role is responsible for the management of EMS product Sales and Service in the assigned territory, including the management and development of the sales channel. This position will generate new business growth while maintaining a strong supplier-customer relationship through relationship building, product knowledge, competitive analysis, new opportunity development, and a consistent professional approach to day-to-day activities. Spending significant time with customers at their production and development facilities is considered a key to being successful in this position. This role will be fully remote located in Taiwan with expected travel 40%+. Preferred location of residence North of Miao-Li: Hsinchu, Taoyuan, or Taipei.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Works with Sales, Design Engineering and R&D groups at inTEST EMS, to integrate new manipulator, docking and interface technologies with focus on assisting in developing existing and new multinational accounts. In conjunction with Marketing and Design Engineering groups, assists in defining new product concepts and product specifications based on customer requirements and/or sales and marketing data. In addition, assists to develop and delivering product and/or concept presentations to the customers as required or requested by sales management. Provides Applications Engineering requests from customers, assists in the completion of divisional statements of work or request for quote forms, and works with sales management and the Design Engineering department for the completion of concept drawings. Responsible for installing equipment, addressing equipment performance issues in territory, filing issue report (field service report) and following up to ensure that issue is resolved to customer’s satisfaction. Consults with engineering personnel to resolve unusual problems in system operation and maintenance in the field and in the office, using established Field Service Reporting methodology. Proactive in making sales and service visits to generate new business opportunities that lead to new orders. Responsible for achieving sales targets and meeting management objectives for a territory. Development of sales strategies and tactics to increase sales to existing customers and penetrate new customers. The sales strategies and tactics will be presented to: North Asia RSM, Director of Business Development VP of Sales Division President Generate new leads in customers that inTEST is not doing business with today. Coordinate quoting activity with the sales administration team using the CRM to request and organize customer quotes while making sure the forecast funnel is accurate. Coordinate weekly activity and sales/service reports. Prepares sales and forecast report showing sales volume and potential sales. Self-organized and structured to follow up on all aspects of managing a regional territory. Direct sales responsibilities for the assigned territory focusing on key customers and relationships. Represents company at trade association meetings to promote EMS products. Responsible for new product development, coordination between the customer and the factory for installations and service in the assigned territory. This includes troubleshooting: Manipulators Docking Hardware Electrical interface equipment Interface with applications and engineering teams to define customer requirements.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience a must, in engineering, business or marketing. At least five years' field experience in applications or engineering with an ATE company or in a semiconductor test environment. Must have proven record of achieving sales goals in the electronic capital equipment market Willingness to travel extensively (40%+) throughout assigned territory Strong communication skills—verbal, presentation, and written, fluency in multiple languages is a plus. (Korean, Japanese) Interest in directing and guiding others—supervisory interest or skills Excellent organizational skills Strong computer skills with knowledge and understanding of MS Word Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, CRM (Microsoft Dynamics) and CAD Drawings Understanding of electrical interfacing and mechanical drawings, being able to interpret same and perform product installations Ability to effectively interact and communicate with all levels of personnel Ability to work in a high-pressure, constantly changing environment

Physical/Psychological Demands

Ability to lift up to 80 lbs. Moderate level of physical activity required during equipment installations Manual dexterity required. Must be able to deal with a moderate level of stress.
