$43.27 Job Summary / Objective
Lead improvements in the areas of equipment reliability and productivity with a focus on electronics and controls. Responsibilities include problem solving, improvement projects, and providing technical assistance and training to plant maintenance personnel. Assignment can be broad but generally focuses on maintenance, repair and modification of machinery control systems for reliability or operational improvements. Key Responsibilities
Implement corrective actions and modify machinery control systems (PLCs, Drives, HMIs) to proactively improve equipment safety, reliability, and productivity Specify/source materials or services required to complete corrective actions or projects Install, maintain, and repair electrical and electronic equipment including motor relays, circuit breakers, machine and process controls, circuits, and electrical distribution systems Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions using logical and systematic methodologies Document procedures and practices (work instructions) to standardize maintenance/repair tasks (e.g., calibrations, backups) Support other areas outside the electronic/electrical domain when capable and needed Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor Summary / Description of Duties and Responsibilities
Team Lead will work directly with operations to support production needs around production control and planning of machines in their designated area of responsibility. Responsibilities will cover coordinating a seamless production flow from raw materials through to finished goods transfer. Safety
Support Southwire’s Culture of Zero by demonstrating safe and quality-conscious work habits. Use tools properly and show a bias for action. Submit safety touchpoints and engage with operators. Human Capital
Coordinate training activities for new hires; provide 30/60/90 progress feedback to the Supervisor. Provide hands-on assistance in troubleshooting and eliminating process issues. Support day-to-day operations and initiatives in cost reduction (e.g., dimensional control, manufacturing methods). DHP
Actively participate in the DHP process and conduct cell-level huddles as needed. Coordinate with support staff to assist in resolving problems. Verify hour-by-hour production rates. Perform other activities as directed by Plant Leadership. Qualifications and Experience Requirements
Exhibits good decision-making and analytical problem-solving abilities Able to influence and train others in a respectful manner Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to escalate when necessary Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite is a plus Strong multitasking and organizational skills Ability to effectively work in a team environment Benefits We Offer
