The Opportunity

Engineering at Frame.io is about more than just writing code - it's crafting products that inspire creativity and allow our users to do great work. We care deeply about how our products are built, how they look, how they feel, and how they function. We’re looking for an experienced site reliability engineer who will prioritize Frame.io product engineering goals along with standard security and infrastructure methodologies to continually improve our application reliability and developer experience. We obsess over performance, scalability, privacy, and security. Our engineers are using React (including Server Components), Next.js, Apollo Client, Typescript, GraphQL, Elixir, Python, Go, AWS services, Kubernetes, Terraform, Postgres, CockroachDB, Argo, Github, and more. Success in this role will result in a best-in-class application that enables our customers and our fellow engineers to do their best work. Identify, triage, and mitigate application availability concerns while balancing security, business, and customer needs; contribute to tools and processes that enrich the developer experience. Propose and implement time-saving automation and reliability measures to keep Frame.io at the forefront of availability and security. Partner with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Product, Compliance, Legal, Security, etc.) to define customer-centric solutions for infrastructure, security, and tooling needs. Define and refine operational practices, tooling, and runbooks; communicate them across Frame.io and Adobe. Evolve CI/CD pipelines and application infrastructure to support scaling and meet DORA metrics goals. Promote engineering excellence with a focus on performance, scalability, and security. Model Adobe values within the team, partner organizations, and customers. What You’ll Need To Succeed

Outstanding analytical skills with the ability to solve complex systems challenges and performance bottlenecks. Proficient knowledge of public cloud infrastructure, networking, architecture, and Linux, as well as orchestration, monitoring, automation, and configuration management solutions. Practical knowledge of distributed service design and performance, including messaging protocols, caching, data residency, database operations, and observability. Passion for designing and evolving complex systems while also supporting day-to-day infrastructure operations; ability to select the right tool for the job. A dedication to learning new techniques and technologies and sharing ideas with fellow engineers, with strong ability to break down, discuss, and communicate technical concepts.
