Job Description
As a Procurement Buyer II at Honeywell, you will play a key role in driving our organization’s procurement and purchasing activities. This position ensures efficiency, cost‑effectiveness, and strategic alignment within the procurement function. You will report directly to the Procurement Manager and work out of our Lincolnshire, IL location on a hybrid schedule. For all new hires you must be onsite fully Monday‑Friday for the first 90 days.
Key Responsibilities
Drive the purchasing process, from identifying procurement needs to supplier selection, negotiations, and contract management, ensuring that purchases are made efficiently and in accordance with organizational guidelines.
Participate in identifying and evaluating potential suppliers, conducting due diligence, and negotiating terms to secure cost‑effective and high‑quality purchases.
Monitor and control purchasing costs, seeking cost‑saving opportunities, negotiating favorable terms, and optimizing the allocation of resources.
YOU MUST HAVE
2+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or buying.
Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
Knowledge of buying strategies, supplier relations, and cost control.
Proficient in procurement software and tools.

BENEFITS OF WORKING FOR HONEYWELL The annual base salary range for this position is $65,000 – $75,000. This salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate’s work experience, education and training, key skills, and market and business considerations.
