Facilities, Fleet & Safety Manager Garten Services, Inc. is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to hiring people with disabilities and providing high-quality services that make a meaningful impact in the community. We are seeking a Facilities, Fleet & Safety Manager to oversee our environment, health, and safety (EHS) program, fleet and facilities management programs, and support internal and external stakeholders.

Overview Salary: $98,800.00–$131,733.33 per year. Location: Salem, OR.

Responsibilities

Lead EHS program, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and developing training, inspections, and investigations.

Audit safety policies, review customer contracts for safety requirements, and approve site safety plans and job hazard analyses.

Coordinate safety inspections of owned facilities, contract sites, equipment, and operations and identify hazards and report findings.

Lead the safety committee to meet company safety needs and comply with OSHA and other safety and health policies.

Manage facilities budget, including expense tracking, cost containment, and assistance with annual maintenance and capital expenditures.

Issue keys, key cards, alarm codes, and maintain a secure and confidential security system.

Develop and oversee RFP, bid review, and contractor selection process aligned with procurement and financial policies.

Utilize project management best practices to plan and execute all installations and refurbishments and implement procedures for cost-effective facilities management.

Develop and supervise company-wide fleet management program, including preventive maintenance, vehicle replacement cycles, registration, insurance, parking permit renewals, and damage and accident reporting.

Manage employee timesheets, leave schedules, and provide direct oversight of performance and discipline of assigned staff.

Deliver training, coaching, and direction to enhance staff safety skills and maintain safety compliance.

Qualifications

Knowledge of OSHA, DOT, and environmental compliance standards.

Experience in facilities operations, budgeting, and contractor management.

Experience in fleet management, vehicle lifecycle planning, and GPS reporting systems.

Experience with safety audits, inspections, and incident investigations.

Strong project management skills, including RFP and bid review processes.

Strong understanding of risk assessment, hazard identification, and control measures.

Ability to develop, implement, and maintain safety management systems and training programs.

Physical Requirements

Operates facilities maintenance tools & equipment, bend, twist, stoop, kneel, climb stairs, reach overhead, and repetitive arm/hand motions.

PUSHPULL up to 50 lbs, LIFT up to 200 lbs with assistance, and CARRY up to 40 lbs regularly through the workday.

Operates independently with minimal supervision and adheres to established procedures.
