Duties
Assist in child and youth team sports, age-appropriate fitness and health initiatives, skill-building clinics, and community outreach. Assist in managing an active program of volunteer coaches and coach certification. Assist in the planning and implementation that promotes positive growth and development of children and youth. Assist with providing program oversight and accountability for the performance of staff and safety of program participants. Ensure programs follow the National Standards for Youth Sports (NAYS). Trains and monitors coaches in accordance with National Youth Sports Coaches Association (NYSCA) guidelines. Supervises volunteers as required. Assist supervisor in developing and managing budget and procurement of supplies and equipment. Collect and maintain up-to-date statistical data for planning and reports. Ensure compliance with requirements and Child and Youth Service (CYS) standards. Perform a full range of supervisory functions to staff and assist in recruitment and selection actions. Prepare reports, surveys, and briefings for the command and installation on matters pertaining to CYS. Requirements
Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required. Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position. A one-year probationary period may be required. Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check. Must be at least 18 years of age at the time of appointment. Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a Child Care Tier 1 background investigation. Must complete a health assessment including all required immunizations. Must possess and maintain the physical ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs, walk, bend, stoop, and stand on a routine basis. Must obtain/maintain certification in CPR/First Aid.
