Corporate Cafe Food Service Professional role at Denny's. The Food Service Professional is a member of the team responsible for guest service and food production in the cafe located in the Denny’s Corporate Support Center. This team serves fellow Support Center coworkers and leaders during office hours. Responsibilities
Provides prompt and courteous service; is cordial to all team members and guests Accurately enters orders on the point-of-sale system Demonstrates knowledge of all front-of-house stations Addresses complaints and requests promptly in a courteous manner and notifies the supervisor of any issues Demonstrates safe cash handling procedures in accordance with policy and accurately completes cash and credit card transactions Prepares, cooks and presents food to order following established company standards, guidelines and recipe specifications Organizes and maintains work areas, coolers and storage areas at all times Completes other duties as assigned Education & Experience Requirements
Must be eighteen years old or older Must be able to communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing Must be able to pass all required tests and training requirements for the position Must be able to work in a team environment Meets the Company grooming standards and maintains them throughout the shift Possesses excellent guest service skills Must be flexible and able to switch between food prep, cooking and guest service duties at the direction of their supervisor Possesses basic math skills Must be dependable and able to learn basic tasks and follow instructions Must be able to observe and ensure product is prepared and presented to the Brand Standards Must meet health-related regulations pertaining to food handling Places a value on diversity and shows respect for others Required Knowledge, Skills & Physical Requirements
Must be able to lift a tray weighing up to 25 pounds Must be able to lift and carry supplies and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds; place items on high and low shelves in office, store rooms, service areas, walk-in coolers and freezers Must be able to bend, stoop, reach, grasp and lift up to 40 lbs. Must be able to hear well in a loud environment to respond to employee and guest needs Must meet health-related regulations pertaining to food handling Must be able to operate point-of-sale system and differentiate between monetary denominations Must be able to work with all Denny’s Corporate Cafe menu products Must be able to work with potentially hazardous chemicals Must have sufficient mobility to move and operate in confined work area Must be able to work inside and outside the restaurant Must be able to observe staff and all aspects of restaurant operations Pay Range
