Work with a collaborative, award‑winning team to design lighting, power distribution, low‑voltage, and fire alarm systems that support modern facilities and communities. Use AutoCAD, Revit, and specialized electrical design software to develop solutions that meet client needs, sustainability goals, and project deadlines. Principal Responsibilities
Design and analyze electrical systems using engineering tools per code and IMEG standards Interact with clients to gather requirements and communicate technical information Build and maintain client relationships Support project planning, scheduling, and execution Document design decisions and monitor progress Analyze engineering tasks and propose solutions with senior support Participate in IMEG quality control processes Stay current with electrical engineering trends and contribute to R&D Prioritize safety and identify risks in electrical systems Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated solutions Required Qualifications And Skills
Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent Prior internship experience in the building design consulting industry preferred Engineering in Training (EIT) License preferred Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and concepts for technical plans and specifications Strong technical and analytical skills in circuit theory, electromagnetism, power systems, and electronics related to buildings Familiarity with industry standard engineering software, including lighting photometric tools (e.g., AGI, ElumTools, Visual Lighting), energy compliance software (e.g., ComCheck), and Adobe/Bluebeam Revu Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to communicate clearly in written and oral form Ability to work collaboratively in a team Attention to detail and problem‑solving abilities Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges Basic knowledge of Building Information Modeling (BIM) software Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) Ability to travel up to 5% with occasional overnight stays This position is not eligible for sponsorship.
