Champion Technology Services, Inc. Position Overview The Automation Engineer I ensures successful completion of both company and client objectives at the project level. The primary focus of the Automation Engineer I is to contribute to quality design, development, installation, and fulfillment of processes and systems utilized for project execution. Primary Job Functions Design and develop automation systems within a team at an entry level. Test, troubleshoot, and provide solutions to technical problems. Contribute to project design, development, testing, installation, commissioning, and reporting. Participate in project tasks such as kickoff, system design, procurement, programming, FAT, SAT, commissioning, and documentation. Ensure project compliance and quality. Manage time and expenses within the project budget. Provide project-level consultancy and client service. Communicate effectively, especially during sensitive situations. Secondary Job Functions Stay aware of future opportunities at client facilities and inform management. Key Competencies Leadership: Build rapport, mentor, and manage teams. Make strong decisions under pressure. Emotional Intelligence: Understand others and demonstrate flexibility. Integrity: Demonstrate maturity, ethics, and integrity. Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. Interest and ability in programming or similar technical systems. Problem-solving skills. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation with insurance. Fluent in English (verbal and written). Availability for after-hours, weekend, holidays, overnight, and extended travel. Ability to lift and carry 50+ lbs for extended periods.
