Environmental Customer Coordinator As an Environmental Customer Coordinator you will be responsible for servicing customer accounts by managing inquiries regarding Arcwood services, including costs and proper documentation to ensure customer satisfaction.
Essential Functions & Requirements
Prioritizes health and safety by adhering to policies and maintaining safe practices at all times Uses understanding of waste generator requirements to provide insights to customers Manages customer inquiries and questions regarding Arcwood services and costs; identifies when to escalate issues Builds sustainable relationships with customers through routine communication to ensure satisfaction Reviews, revises, and completes waste profile forms, reviews SDSs, selects proper RCRA hazardous waste codes, and submits waste stream approval Develops basic chemical knowledge as it pertains to various waste types and disposal options Uses tools to conduct research and collaborates with cross-functional teams to solve customer challenges and assign workflows Provides follow-up on approvals to enable scheduling promptly Reviews, prints, and sends quotes to customers; collects signed quotes Submits samples with required documentation for testing and waste approval as needed Reviews billing information for accuracy prior to finalization and resolves billing discrepancies Maintains accountability for inside sales to increase revenue in assigned territory by working with Sales Secures disposal outlets for customer waste to third-party sites, including approvals, pricing, and logistics Performs profit and cost analysis on new and current business to maximize margins Receives waste orders and completes appropriate shipping documents, manifest, and labels Manages non-conforming waste situations, including manifest discrepancies Facilitates customer tours of Arcwood facilities as requested Maintains thorough and updated customer records Ability to travel to assigned territory, up to 10% annually Takes on additional duties as assigned to support the team and organization Education: Bachelor's degree (required); degree in environmental science or other technical field (preferred) Experience: 2+ years of relevant experience in environmental, manufacturing, industrial, or customer service sectors (required) OR In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, an Associate’s degree plus 2 years of relevant experience (required) Competencies: Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with internal and external customers Strong verbal communication and active listening Organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities Self-directed with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines Basic knowledge of Federal, State, and local environmental laws and DOT/RCRA regulations Strong computer skills and proficiency with relevant software Regular and predictable attendance Benefits, Compensation, & Workforce Diversity: Arcwood offers competitive pay and bonus incentives.
