Position Description:

We are looking for an Entry Level Engineer to join our ICE Team to improve infrastructure in our Michigan offices. Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and zero to three years of experience. Completion of Part I of the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam and knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D and Bluebeam Revu are preferred. Strong written and verbal communication/coordination skills are essential. Responsibilities

Design electrical installation and protective relaying and control (PR&C) components for electrical substation projects, including substation equipment layout, detailed electrical installation design, and PR&C design steel design in accordance with governing codes and standards. Prepare one-line diagrams, electrical installation plans, installation section views, installation details, below grade grounding and conduit plans, and cable schedules per client standards. Prepare panel elevations and PR&C schematic, wiring, and interconnection diagrams per client standards. Prepare auxiliary power equipment sizing calculations. Perform complex engineering calculations/studies related to substation projects (e.g., lightning protection, conduit fill, AC/DC station service loading, surge arrester sizing, voltage drop). Create SCADA RTU control, status and analog point lists. Prepare construction drawings with the assistance of a designer/technician using industry-standard CAD software, and in accordance with client standards. Prepare construction specifications, project documents, and bill of materials in accordance with client and industry standards. Attend site visits as required. Assist in the preparation of proposals and support Project Managers as needed. Attend client, project and staff meetings and training sessions. Maintain excellent client relations and a safe working environment. Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering. 0 to 3 years of related experience required. Completion of Part I of the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam preferred. Knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D and Bluebeam Revu preferred. About Wade Trim
