Senior Sales Engineer (P4)

As a Senior Sales Engineer, you will support regional sales teams, act as technical lead in customer meetings, design viable data network solutions, and collaborate cross-functionally to validate Managed Solutions designs. Responsibilities Act as the technical lead and product specialist in customer meetings to determine technical requirements, provide technical insights, and answer technical questions. Serve as subject?matter expert on managed services technologies. Conduct formal and informal technical training sessions for Sales Engineering and Sales teammates. Work cross?functionally with Network Engineering, Network Architecture, and Product teams to develop and validate Managed Solutions designs. Design viable data network solutions for customer applications, including preparation of network topologies, drawings, technical specifications, and assistance with pricing. Review and validate service orders before implementation and participate in service order kickoff meetings. Prepare Project Delivery teams to execute sold orders and provide technical support as required with Project Delivery, Provisioning, and the NOC. Collaborate with project management through the implementation process as required. Act as liaison to Product Management team as both a technology expert and the voice of the customer. Perform other support duties as assigned.
Technical Expertise
Network Architecture: Fiber Optic Network infrastructures using wavelength, Ethernet, IP and related technologies. SD?WAN: Routing protocols, WAN optimization, virtualization. SASE: Zero?trust architecture, firewall rules, identity management. Cloud: Cloud?native architecture, multi?cloud designs, CSP limitations. Cyber Defense: DDoS, SOCaaS, EDR, XDR, MDR, cyber risk intelligence, penetration testing.
Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in Arts/Science (BA/BS) preferred or relevant engineering experience. 7+ years of experience in technical pre?sales or network engineering roles. Proven customer?facing technical sales experience. Experience with LAN/WAN configuration and implementation. Expert knowledge of the OSI model and Layer 2/3 technologies. Experience designing and selling cyber security or SD?WAN solutions. Experience with Microsoft Office including Excel & Visio. Experience in the telecommunications industry preferred. Professional?level technical certification (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, CompTIA Security+, CISSP, AWS, Azure).

Compensation
Salary range: $123,000 $169,100 annually with potential incentive compensation and equity options. Application
