As an Electrical Engineer at Mid-City, you’ll support project teams in the design, coordination, and implementation of electrical systems for new construction, renovation, and design-build projects. You’ll work closely with project managers, estimators, and field teams to ensure systems are safe, effective, and built to last.
Your responsibilities will include:
Designing and coordinating electrical systems for commercial construction projects Reviewing architectural and electrical drawings, specifications, and code requirements Performing load calculations, lighting layouts, power distribution design, and system coordination studies Preparing construction documents, including submittals, shop drawings, and as-built drawings Selecting materials and equipment based on technical specs, cost, and energy efficiency Ensuring designs meet NEC and local building codes Providing job site support during installation and resolving field issues Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to drive successful outcomes What We’re Looking For:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering 3+ years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably in the construction industry Working knowledge of NEC, local codes, and commercial electrical systems PE license or working toward licensure Strong technical knowledge, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail Excellent communication and collaboration skills Self-motivated with a strong sense of urgency What Success as an Electrical Engineer Looks Like:
