9/80, 1st Shift, Employees work 9 out of every 14 days – totaling 80 hours worked – and have every other Friday off
Responsibilities
Provide engineering support of multiple Manufacturing and Test groups (Antenna, RF Equipment, Small Modem, and Commercial Products teams) from conceptual development and prototyping through initial and full rate production, product phase-out and Maintenance, Repair, and Overall (MRO)
Participate in design reviews and approvals, engineering change approvals, and master manufacturing process creation and maintenance
Support continuous improvement activities, requirements analysis/management, task planning, and technical project management assistance (including reviews, reporting, and documentation)
Provide build and test support and root cause/corrective action
Train production personnel in new or existing operations
Design layout of equipment and workspaces
Prepare reports summarizing information and trends related to manufacturing performance
Ensure performance against organizational goals for yield and process capability
Actively participate in Failure Review Board (FRB) investigations
Collaborate with other organizations to create and execute improved manufacturing plans driving measurable improvements to the company’s AOP within this role’s scope
Support a culture of continuous improvement, “Right the First Time”, Safety First, audit readiness, and Policy & Security compliance
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior engineering experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior engineering experience. In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 10 years of prior engineering experience.
Preferred Additional Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Systems Engineering preferred
Advanced communication skills (written and verbal)
Strong technical, analytical, and critical thinking / reasoning skills
Experience with logistics/production process flows/factory floor layout
Understanding of all aspects of DoD development and program lifecycle: Design, Implementation, Verification, Production and Sustainment
