Manager, Dedicated Controls Engineers & Operations Support Engineering

Mitsubishi Power Americas . This role provides leadership and technical support for field controls engineering techniques and procedures in the installation, modification, maintenance, repair, troubleshooting and startup of gas/steam turbines. The role coordinates with other Service Engineering to implement and resolve outstanding issues for customers related to controls and IR (Issue Report) items for specific DCE (Dedicated Controls Engineer) sites. It supports and assists with training development for all experience levels of Control Systems Service and Dedicated Controls Engineers. It works with internal and external teams to ensure DCE team members meet customer and Mitsubishi Power expectations through periodic site visits. It leads and directs controls service engineering requests to support operational troubleshooting for internal/external customers. Key Responsibilities
Lead workload planning for controls and operational support issues for Mitsubishi Power Gas & Steam Turbine fleet Resource coordination for support of oOEM Gas Turbine controls and tuning activities Coordinate with Controls & Tuning Execution and Controls Design teams for logic pre-draw prioritization and development Support Controls Design team adhering to best practices in support of logic modifications for field implementation Support fleet risk awareness to implement corrective actions as required Triage and delegate incoming Engineering Service Requests to proper teams through effective communication Interface with Field Service, LTSA, TGO, Tomoni Hub and other teams for emergent work scope and feedback to engineering teams Provide leadership for supporting team in start-up, commissioning, operations and/or troubleshooting support for equipment failures, determine root cause, implement solutions Support in-house training programs for Mitsubishi Power control systems Ensure proficiency level of Control System Service and Dedicated Controls Engineers through training scheduling, coordination and assignment Support adherence to customer training programs/initiatives and training of customer personnel as required Develop and maintain a Skill Level Matrix Database of Dedicated Controls and Controls Service Engineers Develop and maintain a man-power plan to support expansion and growth of the DCE team in coordination with LTSA leadership Promote the Dedicated Controls Engineer initiative for fleet expansion Assist in development of the service engineering annual budget Provide technical interpretation and application of Mitsubishi Power drawings, field procedures, quality control, and technical documents Communicate opportunities for improvement regarding fleet risk items Provide leadership in development programs and assist with recruiting to grow the controls team Travel to sites as needed to improve communication between DCE leadership and customers Perform other duties as required Requirements

Bachelor's degree (BA) in Engineering from a four-year college or university; or at least five (5) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience Language Skills: ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations; ability to write reports and respond to questions Mathematical Skills: ability to work with probability, statistics, geometry and trigonometry; apply fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions Reasoning Ability: ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions Computer Skills: knowledge of databases, project management, spreadsheets, word processing, and related software Why Should You Apply?
