Coffman Engineers’ is seeking a highly motivated

Fire Protection Engineer

with zero to three years of experience to join our team of professionals. You would support our Fire Protection Department in providing our clients with automatic suppression system design; fire detection, alarm and mass notification system design; code analysis; egress analysis; fire resistant construction analysis; smoke control analysis; as well as general fire protection and life safety concepts and research. Responsibilities

Support the Fire Protection Department in design and analysis activities described above. Perform research and document findings for internal and external distribution. Analyze existing fire protection systems and design new fire protection systems including suppression, fire detection, fire alarm and mass notification systems. Conduct building and fire code analysis and interpretation. Manage day-to-day contacts with internal and external clients while utilizing experience and technology to meet expectations. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in engineering from an accredited college or university; Fire Protection specific degree is required. Registered as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) (preferred). 0-3 years of working experience. Experience with the current version of AutoCAD and Revit (preferred). Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Compensation and Benefits

Approximate Base Salary – 75k-100k based on experience Paid overtime at 1.0 times hourly rate Competitive end of year discretionary bonus based on company/team/personal performance Hybrid Work Schedule (subject to change) 401k with maximum of 5% Contribution Matching for 9% Employee Contribution This position is not eligible for sponsorship.
