is recognized as the inventor and market leader of the MSE (Mechanically Stabilized Earth) retaining wall industry. The company provides the design and supply of materials of proprietary retaining wall systems and earth related technologies to contractors and owners for use in civil engineering. Our company works as a sub-contractor/material supplier on DOT and privately owned projects. We perform all duties associated with our jobs from sales, marketing, civil engineering/design, supply, and construction support.

The

Precast Plant Superintendent

is responsible for providing leadership and direction for overall production and maintenance operations, fostering a “Culture of Safety” utilizing KPI’s. Manage to meet delivery schedules and budgeted cost/efficiency expectations, ensure asset reliability meets or exceeds performance expectations.

Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To

Ensure the plant employees and guests on site comply with safety, quality and environmental practices – lead by example and build a safety-first culture

Provide full support to the Safety Coordinator ensuring all opportunities and incidents are reported promptly

Development of a safe cohesive and productive team.

Supporting the Plant Manager in driving the business utilizing KPI’s to develop the team move towards company goals.

Manage and coordinate the production plan (daily/weekly) to meet delivery schedules and budgeted cost/efficiency expectations.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives through appropriate channels in the operation.

Manage the coordination and execution of predictive/preventative maintenance plans through the maintenance management system for the facility, ensure asset reliability meets or exceeds performance expectations.

Establishes formal and informal communications for staff and employees (e.g. morning safety huddle, maintenance planning, scheduling etc.).

Ensures proper training of employees with leads to advance the business.

Holds self and staff directly accountable for adherence to standards, policies & regulations for the safe, environmentally compliant production of a quality product.

Ensures training plans for production and maintenance staff and self are in place and followed, promoting key aspects of the overall succession plan process.

Assume plant manager responsibilities as needed.

Responsible to actively seek out, find, and implement process improvements; to include improvements on raw material cost reduction, asset utilization, team balancing, matching team strategy to situation.

Monitor the receipt of raw materials from outside vendors and ensure that quantities match the BOL and there is no damage to the received materials.

Ensure timely and accurate reporting is received and recorded into established tracking forms and company portal for production tracking.

Work with team to develop and improve SOP’s for all tasks.

Responsible for plant layout, ensuring optimal safety and efficiency.

Ensures monthly OSHA compliance training is conducted according to schedule requirements with Safety Champion and EH&S manager

Responsible for overall preventative/predictive maintenance program for the facility with maintenance manager and or team.

Maintain thorough knowledge of processes and equipment, have workable knowledge of industry technological developments and best practices.

Provide plant manager with labor and material inputs required for accurate quoting

Perform any other duties as assigned by the Plant Manager as deemed appropriate and necessary by them.

Education/Skill/Experience

Minimum High School Diploma (or equivalent) with 5+ years leadership experience in an industrial environment, leading multiple departments.

Associate degree in Business, Manufacturing, Engineering Technology, Production or related field or Bachelors’ degree preferred.

5+ years’ demonstrated manufacturing supervisory experience.

Or any equivalent combination of experience and training that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position Knowledge/Skills/Ability

Demonstrated ability to effectively plan and allocate resources.

Strong written and oral communication skills across all levels of the organization.

Proven track record of developing, implementing and utilizing process and procedures.

Demonstrated ability to coordinate resources to meet internal business objectives and customer expectations.

Ability to read and teach how to read technical plans and drawings

Thorough knowledge of effective and efficient production and manufacturing methods

Thorough knowledge of development and utilization of KPI’s

Thorough knowledge of company product, policies and procedures.

Strong interpersonal, organizational, and project management skills.

Demonstrated successful application of managerial and supervisory skills.

Demonstrated skills or knowledge of budgeting and financial analysis skills. Demonstrated problem solving skills and dealing with ambiguity.

Strong analytical and mathematical ability.

Ability to operate a computer and supporting software packages.

Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.

Ability to effectively implement change.

Ability to facilitate meetings and lead teams.

Ability to effectively manage conflict.

Work Environment / Physical Demands

Frequent exposure to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration

The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud

Must be able to lift and move up to 75 Lbs

Frequent Walking/Standing (6+ hrs/day)
