A Day In The Life As an NPD/NPX Commodity Manager, you will be responsible for NPD/NPX sourcing activities on assigned projects. You will ensure timely communication to internal customers and project deliverables. You will implement a Supply Chain Management strategy to drive commercial leverage, achieve the lowest total costs, and ensure effective asset management while continuously improving quality, delivery, and cycle time performance of our supply base on NPD/NPX projects. You will implement policies and metrics to ensure that NPD/NPX projects are executed to meet business needs. You will work with Product Management and Engineering to define our NPD/NPX roadmap and ensure we have the supply base to support these new technologies/products. Job Overview

Manage and track multiple NPD/NPX projects Ensure early Sourcing involvement in the projects to influence design to cost with engineering and product marketing Negotiate Development Agreements and Supplier Agreements with qualified suppliers Collaborate with Commodity Managers/Corporate Sourcing to align with global commodity strategies Ensure all New Product Development projects meet project cost and are launched on time Lead all RFQs for NPD/NPX projects, ensuring total cost model evaluation and cross-functional alignment Ensure all NPD/NPX supply chains are set up for post-launch success What will help you thrive in this role?

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or related field 5-7 years of direct experience in strategic sourcing/commodity management/global supply management desired Extensive negotiation experience with global suppliers with a proven track record in cost reduction Strong analytical skills (i.e. should cost modeling, quotation analysis, supplier selection) Must be able to communicate effectively in a variety of settings Demonstrated experience leading projects on a cross-functional team, with strong interpersonal and organizational skills Basic financial acumen to include total cost evaluation Hubbell Incorporated Hubbell creates critical infrastructure solutions that power our customers, communities, people, and the planet.
