Lumens is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Release Engineering & Delivery Manager in an on-line retail environment. As the Release Engineering & Delivery Manager, you will be responsible for leading and driving the technical strategy and processes, from planning to deployment, ensuring successful release delivery. You will partner with Product/Project Managers, Technical leads, QA, and infrastructure operations teams to ensure release delivery, from planning to deployment, is streamlined, scalable, resilient and predictable. This is a hands-on leadership role that requires a strong technical foundation, collaborative mindset, and experience working with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment. Base pay range

$135,000.00/yr - $160,000.00/yr Reporting To: VP of Technology Responsibilities

Release Management and Delivery Planning and Execution: Lead end-to-end development release lifecycle and its delivery across various systems. Collaborate with product / project management, technical leads and operations on release strategy, release schedules, key milestones and metrics. Provide hands-on technical management from planning through production deployment. Release Governance and Delivery: Responsible for successful release delivery according to release plan. Establish and enforce necessary release processes, artifacts, and its governance to ensure predictable release delivery. Communicate with stakeholders, setting expectations and risk management priorities. Reporting & Metrics: Develop and maintain release delivery metrics, dashboards, and other governance metrics. CI/CD Infrastructure: Oversee the design, implementation, and optimization of CI/CD pipelines and management of various development environments. Ensure environments and build systems are scalable, maintainable and secure. Automate repetitive release processes and eliminate manual steps wherever possible. Quality & Risk Management: Establish and enforce release quality gates, for each area of release deliverable and ensure adherence to security, compliance, and regulatory requirements throughout the release process. Maintain metrics on release delivery, release quality, rollback rates, deployment frequency, and uptime SLA in lieu of a release. Research, evaluate and implement industry-standard tools and frameworks for release process management. Explore automation opportunities and use of AI that can drive efficiency, predictability and quality. Stay abreast of trends in Development, CI/CD, DevOps, AI, and platform engineering industry best practices. Provide hands-on technical leadership and guidance for critical release issues, ensuring swift resolution, and comprehensive post-mortems to prevent recurrence. Lead Change Control boards for in-house changes, SaaS provider changes, Incident triage and Root Cause Analysis. Qualifications

7+ years of experience in Development, DevOps, Build & Release Engineering and management roles. 3+ years of experience in a technical leadership or management capacity. Effective interpersonal and communication skills with experience working cross-functionally. Demonstrated experience with eCommerce architecture, technology stacks, and release processes. Strong foundation on various technologies - Databases (e.g. MySQL, SQLServer), Message Queues, Caching (e.g.Redis), CDNs, ESBs, APIs orchestration, Security. Proven success implementing scalable CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, CircleCI, ArgoCD, or Spinnaker. Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure). Experience with source control systems (e.g., Git) and branching strategies (e.g., GitFlow, trunk-based). Experience with JIRA, Confluence, Zephry, and other project and process tools. Familiarity with progressive delivery techniques (canary deployments, feature flags) preferred. Knowledge of compliance and regulatory practices (PCI-DSS, GDPR) related to software delivery preferred. About Lumens
