About the role.
What you’ll be doing.
Responsibilities
Conducts analysis and investigations of consumer and customer complaints and quality related losses, develops corrective actions and monitors effectiveness.
Ensures an active internal quality audit program in compliance with BRC, AIB, and KEFSQ.
Ensures update of HAACP and SOPs as needed, makes sure associates of all levels are trained on quality programs.
Manages relationships with internal and external customers, suppliers, colleagues, and support services to ensure achievement of targets.
Drive continuous improvement for quality related metrics and KPIs both at the local and regional levels.
Attend MDI DDS to inform and coach high level performance of key KPIs.
Oversee FM investigations to ensure root cause is determined and a cross functional approach.
Oversee on time positive release of finished goods to include the oversight of rework, dilution, downgrades, and donations.
Retain finished goods samples and set up sensory panel daily.
What you’ll need to be successful
Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Chemistry, Food Science, or another related field is required
HAACP, PCQI certifications preferred, BRC audit training preferred
4+ years of experience in manufacturing required, food manufacturing strongly preferred
2+ years of leadership experience required
Experience with SAP is preferred
Strong technical skills in area of focus (microbiology and/or chemistry) with ability to interpret general technical and scientific results and perform analytical tests
Sound mathematical and basic food science understanding
Good knowledge of statistics and interpretation of experimental data
Basic understanding of the manufacturing environment and production operations
Experience working with customers/vendors, continuous improvement projects
Strong understanding of food safety and basic food regulatory requirements
Ability to independently read, comprehend, and communicate in basic English and interact with all levels of the organization
Ability to independently carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
About the team The FSQ Supervisor will have 10 direct reports total from two crews of the food safety and quality department — leadership responsibilities will include scheduling and assigning work, providing training, ensuring tasks are completed, and promoting continuous improvement and learning for team members.

Compensation Compensation Package: $65,500.00 – $87,400.00 USD annually + Bonus eligibility. The above reflects the target compensation range for the position at the time of posting. Hiring compensation will be determined based on experience, skill set, education and training, and other organizational needs.
