OBJECTIVES / PURPOSE OF JOB The Facilities Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of facility and maintenance operations to ensure a safe, efficient, and productive environment. This role leads the facilities and maintenance teams, manages day-to-day operations, and ensures compliance with all Quality Systems and Environmental, Health, Safety and Sustainability (EHS&S) regulations. Key responsibilities include developing and implementing preventive maintenance programs, conducting regular facility inspections, managing budgets for facility and maintenance-related projects, and coordinating all maintenance and repair activities. The Facilities Manager serves as the primary point of contact for all facility & maintenance-related inquiries and represents the organization in interactions with vendors and contractors. This role requires close collaboration with various departments to ensure that facility and maintenance services align with organizational needs and expectations. Responsibilities

Develop, manage, and lead all facility and maintenance personnel. Align departmental goals with organizational objectives using SMART goals. Provide leadership to drive performance, safety, and efficiency within the department. Prepare, manage, and monitor the annual facilities and maintenance budget. Source and manage local services and supplies through approved vendors to support daily operations. Own the maintenance and appearance of all facility grounds, buildings, and equipment, ensuring they are kept in exemplary condition. Regularly inspect buildings, equipment, and sites to identify repair and maintenance needs. Specify, quote, and manage construction, renovation, and maintenance projects. Serve as the primary on-call contact for all facility or maintenance-related emergencies. Maintain safety and security programs for clients, employees, and staff, including: Access control and alarm systems Employee identification systems Visitor management and access procedures Develop, implement, and manage preventive maintenance schedules and programs. Ensure execution of facilities and production maintenance operating procedures. Maintain accurate documentation of all maintenance activities using the BMRAM system. Support internal projects, including document review and supplier negotiations. Collaborate with EHS&S teams to ensure compliance with environmental, health, safety, and security requirements. Assist with emergency response activities as outlined in standard operating procedures (SOPs). Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in facilities management, or a related field. Experience

Minimum 10 years of experience in facilities or maintenance management. Proven leadership in site and multi-site security as well as employee safety programs. Extensive experience in manufacturing environments and facility operations. Key Competencies & Skills

Strong leadership and team management capabilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations and industry best practices. Proficient in project management, including budgeting and estimating. Solid electrical and mechanical systems knowledge. A logical, analytical approach to problem-solving. High level of organizational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure. Strong verbal and written communication abilities. Detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and quality-driven.
