Cybersecurity Project Manager Lead

ECS is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Cybersecurity Project Manager to oversee and manage cybersecurity projects for a National Security client. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cybersecurity practices and project management methodologies, with a proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and deliver security projects on time, within budget, and in line with business objectives. As a Cybersecurity Project Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating resources, tracking project progress, managing risks, and ensuring that cybersecurity solutions meet organizational needs and industry standards.
Location Las Vegas, NV or Denver, CO (office-based). Please note: this position is contingent upon contract award.
Responsibilities
Coordinate resources and track project progress for cybersecurity initiatives.
Manage risks and ensure security solutions meet organizational needs and industry standards.
Lead cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget while aligning with business objectives.
Qualifications
Required Skills
Technical Background: Significant hands-on experience in cybersecurity or IT, including familiarity with security protocols, risk assessment, and threat management.
Project Management: At least 8 years of experience managing IT or cybersecurity projects, including planning, execution, and closing.
Leadership: Proven experience in leading teams and coordinating with various departments.
Communication: Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to handle security incidents and vulnerabilities.
Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with other IT teams and stakeholders.
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or Cybersecurity; OR
Master's degree in a relevant field can be beneficial and may enhance qualifications.
Certifications
All following certifications are desired but only one certification is required: CISSP, PMP, CISM, CSPM.
Examples: Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP); Project Management Professional (PMP); Certified Information Security Manager (CISM); Certified Security Project Manager (CSPM).
