(PDG). PDG is seeking a highly motivated Electrical Project Engineer to add to our growing and talented team. Responsibilities
Design complete building electrical systems for both new and renovated buildings, including power, lighting, fire alarm and other special systems. Assigns tasks to, coordinates work of and reviews work of entry-level and junior engineers, designers and technicians. Assist in developing schedule and workload requirements for entry-level and junior engineers, designers and technicians. Edits specifications from standard libraries. Receive general review of all aspects of work. Requirements
Advanced working knowledge of electrical circuit theory and design. Advanced understanding of building power distribution. Advanced understanding of computer network systems and associated communications infrastructure within buildings. Advanced understanding of signals / controls. Proficient technical report writing ability with fluency in English. Computer skills: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), CAD proficiency in AutoCAD and REVIT. Familiarity and knowledge of the National Electrical Code (N.E.C. / NFPA 70). Ability to learn new skills to adapt to non-routine problems. Knowledge / experience with lighting technologies for buildings. Experience, Education, and Certification
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Bachelor of Engineering Technology in Electrical Engineering from an ABET Accredited program. Successful Completion of the Professional Engineering (PE) requirements in New York State, or within one year of obtaining such with a prior EIT. NYS Driver’s License. Six (6) years of experience in design of building electrical systems including power, lighting, fire alarm and special systems. Work Environment
Travel between Syracuse, Rochester, Binghamton and Buffalo offices, and to project sites will be required on occasion. Interact with clients and assist with communication and contracts regarding clients. Physical Demands
