A Brief Overview The Engineering Support Specialist supports safe and reliable plant operations by contributing to new product development, equipment and process validations, and general engineering/maintenance tasks. This role collaborates with cross‑functional teams to ensure successful product launches, compliance with regulatory and cGMP standards, and continuous improvement of plant operations.
What You Will Do
Participate as a cross‑functional team member in New Product Development and Packaging Launches. Conduct Packaging Line Trials and Pilot Filling for new products. Manage product/process documentation and reporting for trials and tests. Coordinate with internal/external resources for planning and execution of launch tasks. Serve as customer interface to manage updates, issue resolution, and project metrics. Deliver packaging development activities to bring projects from concept through commercialization.
Design, plan, and execute validation protocols for equipment and processes to ensure compliance with internal and external specifications. Manage project schedules, ensuring milestones are achieved and deliverables met. Provide consistent communication to stakeholders, both internal and external. Collaborate with Operations, Quality, Planning, QC Labs, and other stakeholders to develop validation strategies, protocols, and reports in alignment with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and cGMP.
Support continuous improvement initiatives, training, facility/process modifications, troubleshooting, and process optimization. Manage small Capital Projects on time and within budget. Apply GMP, Sanitation, QC, and other standards/regulations in design and practice. Perform other tasks as assigned to support site operations.
Provide administrative, technical, and project support as needed.
Participate in team‑based improvement initiatives and cross‑functional projects.
Contribute to building a culture of safety, compliance, and reliability.

Education Qualifications
Associate’s Degree or technical degree in a related field (Preferred)
Bachelor’s Degree (Preferred)
Experience Qualifications
4‑6 years in an industrial/manufacturing environment in a related role (Preferred)
4‑6 years in mechanical, technical, operations, or manufacturing environments (Preferred)
4‑6 years proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint; familiarity with CMMS and CAD is desirable (Preferred)
Skills and Abilities
Executes packaging trials, pilot fills, and documentation for new products (High proficiency)
Designs and manages validation protocols aligned with cGMP and regulatory requirements (High proficiency)
Supports CI projects, troubleshooting, and process/facility improvements (Medium proficiency)
Manages small capital projects within time and budget constraints (Medium proficiency)
Applies compliance standards in design, documentation, and practice (Medium proficiency)
Uses software applications to support technical documentation, planning, and analysis (Low proficiency)
Works effectively across all organizational levels and with external stakeholders (High proficiency)
Applies creativity and critical thinking to resolve technical and operational issues (High proficiency)

The base compensation for this position is described in the above posting. This position is also eligible to participate in our short‑term incentive (bonus) plan. For hourly positions, a shift premium may apply based on the assigned work schedule.
