Responsibilities
Prepare detailed cost estimates for NYC commercial interiors projects, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
Review and interpret blueprints and project documents to assess material and labor requirements.
Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to align estimates with project goals and timelines.
Utilize software tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and On-Screen Takeoff for estimating tasks.
Maintain and update cost databases to reflect current market trends and pricing.
Participate in pre-bid and project planning meetings to provide valuable input on cost-related matters.
Ensure compliance with company standards and industry best practices in all estimating activities.
Contribute to process improvements to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of the estimating function.
Qualifications
Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints for commercial interior projects.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and On-Screen Takeoff software.
Experience estimating commercial interiors in the New York market.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to create accurate cost estimates.
Ability to collaborate effectively with project teams and stakeholders.
A detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to meeting deadlines.
