Our Program Management and Construction Management (PM/CM) team works with clients to deliver projects and programs that meet their goals. We manage construction or design-build activities and aim to move a vision from concept to reality. We are seeking an experienced and collaborative
Senior Project Manager
in
Albany, NY
who thrives when people are in sync and projects are delivered on time and within budget. You will manage project development from conception through completion in line with program objectives, provide construction oversight, and address complex project challenges.
Responsibilities
Assigned and report to Assistant Director, OGS Utilities Includes Empire State Plaza, Sheridan Avenue Steam Plant, River Front Pump Station and Harriman State Office Building Campus Apply specialized knowledge, skills, tools, and techniques to direct and coordinate resources within the Utilities PMR&I plan Develop or use project management plans and documents to coordinate the Utilities PMR&I activities Direct and coordinate daily activities of staff from various skilled trades Assist with administrative and technical supervision of lower-level per diem skilled trades staff Record and report schedules, progress, and project expenditures Independently oversee multiple projects of small to medium scope or support larger projects Balance competing demands and mitigate risks to deliver an acceptable product within budget, scope, time, and quality standards Oversee and coordinate requests for quotes supporting Utilities PMR&I projects Be organized and adaptable to changing priorities
Qualifications
Bachelor degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management Minimum 8 years of experience in construction involving multiple phases of large-scale building/rehabilitation projects At least 4 years of experience as Assistant Project Manager responsible for large-scale projects valued above $10 million Experience on a minimum of 3 projects with PLA in medium to large urban areas Ability to manage projects using established controls and provide leadership in scheduling, safety, quality, coordination with designers, and critical client issues Working knowledge of change order and cost review processes and contractor payment applications OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites
