The Radiology Quality Assurance & PI Coordinator is responsible for the design, implementation, and ongoing monitoring of Quality Assurance (QA), Quality Control (QC), and Performance Improvement (PI) activities in Radiology. This role ensures that all radiology services including Diagnostic Radiology, CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine, and Interventional Radiology (IR) maintain the highest levels of safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. The specialist works closely with radiology managers, supervisors, and radiologists to develop, implement, and evaluate metrics for continuous quality improvement, while ensuring adherence to regulatory and accreditation standards. The specialist works closely with radiology managers, supervisors, and radiologists to develop, implement, and evaluate metrics for continuous quality improvement, while ensuring adherence to regulatory and accreditation standards. Additionally, this role collaborates with Radiology IT and oversees systems management to support quality and compliance activities
Responsibilities
Oversee activities that utilize cross-functional teams to identify, measure, analyze and improve cored processes to support the organization's objectives for quality, patient safety and efficiency.
Ensures that the necessary data collection and analysis is performed to accurately measure processes. Ensures that information is made available to internal and external customers in a timely and accurate manner.
Analyzes trends in clinical outcomes and patient safety and ensures that performance improvement activities are coordinated and supported to address findings.
Demonstrates knowledge of federal, state, and accrediting/licensure agencies regulations affecting reimbursement, quality, patient safety and performance improvement.
Applies change management skills to influence formal and informal networks in support of quality and patient safety outcomes.
Ensures that internal and external research, investigation and analysis is conducted and information is presented in a concise and actionable format.
Participates in development of hospital goals, budget, and scorecard metrics and targets.
Establishes and maintains collaborative relationships among team members, nursing, ancillary departments, administration, and medical staff.
Regularly communicates with management and staff regarding project status, issues and process redesign. Assists in the communication and training of Centra Specialty Hospital staff as it relates to patient safety and quality outcomes. Responds to all customers in a courteous, sensitive and respectful manner.
Effectively uses conflict resolution skills, performance management techniques, and communication skills to resolve problems and promote teamwork.
May perform other duties as assigned or requested and job specification can be modified or updated at any time.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Radiology Experience.
Strong understanding of Microsoft Office applications such as word, excel, and PowerPoint
Preferred Qualifications
Graduate or professional work or advanced degree in healthcare or related field.
2+ years of experience in radiology quality or compliance management.
Experience in accreditation preparation and regulatory inspections.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Travel Required
Travel is to all Centra imaging sites as needed Seniority level
