In this role, you will have the opportunity to execute service work as per work instructions and in accordance with ABB quality and safety guidelines. Each day, you will deliver quality customer service planning and execute service work as per customer order and expectation. You will also showcase your expertise by ensuring customer retention by effectively communicating service work timeline and expectations. The work model for the role is onsite in Beaumont, TX. The role reports to the US Analytics Field Service Manager. As a Field Service Technician, you will operate, coordinate, and collaborate within the field service team to meet assigned objectives. Working within defined parameters to make decisions, apply concepts to issues of moderate complexity, and resolve issues through immediate action or short-term planning. Responsibilities include but are not limited to performing commissioning/start-up services, troubleshooting/repair services, and preventative maintenance on measurement and analytical equipment. You will be mainly accountable for: Working with the customer (while on-site) to identify opportunities to improve the customer’s operations and eliminate pain points. Performing field service tasks, identifying technical issues, and performing analysis through remote or on-site activity in service categories and products for which they are certified to perform. Preparing material lists needed for service activity and ensuring that all materials, parts, and equipment are available and of appropriate quality for service activities. Acting as trainer when needed, for field service associates and customers. Qualifications for the role

Bachelor\'s Degree in Electrical Engineering (OR a High School Diploma with a minimum of 5 years of engineering / field experience) Minimum of 5 years of field service experience Strong technical background with technical skills in startup, commissioning, troubleshooting, preventive, and unplanned maintenance of products including but not limited to flow, pressure, temperature, level meters and continuous water analyzers Ability to build strong customer relationships, to work effectively with minimum supervision, demonstrated strong interpersonal skills, and be customer service oriented Strong Computer skills to include Outlook, Excel, and Word Candidates must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US. Ability and willingness to travel approximately 10% as required. Ability and willingness to possess and maintain a valid passport and driver's license. What’s in it for you?
