Overview
About the Role: The primary purpose of the Assistant Manager Patient Business Services is to assume responsibility for the direct supervision of the clerical staff in Outpatient Oncology Services under direction of the Business Manager. This individual will assist in overseeing daily operations, maintaining an analysis of unit productivity, assessing staff performance and key processes, and ensuring customer satisfaction. The role also involves addressing operational problems and finding appropriate solutions, providing operational supervision/administrative leadership to multidisciplinary staff, meeting goals and objectives established by the management team, and compiling and submitting reports on time. Responsibilities
Provides direct supervision of clerical staff in Outpatient Oncology Services under the guidance of the Business Manager Assists in managing daily operations to ensure efficiency and effectiveness Monitors unit productivity and evaluates staff performance and key processes Ensures high levels of customer satisfaction through operational oversight Helps identify and resolve operational challenges with appropriate solutions Supports the Business Manager in offering administrative leadership to multidisciplinary teams Accountable for achieving goals and objectives set by the management team Responsible for compiling and submitting reports in a timely manner Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Hospital Administration, or a related field Minimum of three (3) years of experience in financial, organizational, and oncology administrative practices in a business or hospital setting Prior supervisory and/or leadership experience is preferred Hands-on experience with computerized registration, scheduling, and purchasing systems required Working knowledge of healthcare billing practices and regulations Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide teams and maintain operational efficiency Excellent oral and written communication skills Exceptional customer service skills Ability to manage and resolve multiple priorities and issues effectively Bilingual skills preferred Equivalent education, experience, and/or training may be substituted for the degree requirements What We Offer
