Overview
Labcorp is seeking a Float Phlebotomist to gain diverse experience by working with a variety of patients, team members, and clinics/locations. This role offers growth opportunities within the organization and is well-suited for individuals who enjoy variety and service.
Work Schedule:
Monday – Friday, scheduled hours vary between 6:00am–8:00pm with rotating Saturdays. Full-time is 40 hours per week.
Work Locations:
Chicago, Kankakee, Woodstock, and Chicago Heights, IL.
Compensation and Incentives:
Pay Range: $17.75 – $24.50 per hour. Float Incentive: an additional $2.00/hr plus mileage reimbursement. PSTs may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.
Job Responsibilities
Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
Process billing information and collect payments when required
Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
Maintain patient and specimen information logs
Provide superior customer service to all patients
Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
Travel to additional sites when needed
Job Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency, or previous phlebotomy experience
Valid Driver's License and clean driving record with reliable transportation
Must be at least 21 years old
At least 2 years of phlebotomy experience preferred
Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently or in a team environment
Comfortable working under minimal supervision
Flexibility to work overtime as needed
Able to pass a standardized color vision test
