The OHH Advanced Practitioner provides primary health care and performs selective medical services under the direction of a physician. Responsible for taking medical history, assessing medical conditions, interpreting findings, and preparing and maintaining records and dictated reports. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, families, and medical staff. Conduct clinical evaluation and documentation of patients, including preparing new patients in clinic and managing follow-up appointments. Perform hospital rounding and patient evaluation, evaluate new consults at clinical sites, and complete H&P and discharge summaries. Respond to physicians\' pager calls when the physician is in procedures as directed. Maintain flexible work hours, including some weeks with extra hours and some days with early or late hours. Qualifications
Nurse Practitioner
- National certification from a national certifying body acceptable by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing in the following specialties: Adult Gerontology Acute Care (AG-AC NP) or Acute Care. Current BLS certification required. ACLS certification within 60 days of hire. Physician\'s Assistant
- Baccalaureate degree or a minimum of two years of college credit or completion of an ARC-PA approved program. Current license as a Physician Assistant with the Oklahoma Board of Medical Licensure. Clinical Nurse Specialist
- Completion of a formal program approved by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing to prepare registered nurses for an expanded role. National certification in Acute Care by a national certifying body acceptable to the Oklahoma Board of Nursing (or hold a specialty certification as a clinical nurse specialist valid on January 1, 1994, granted by a recognized certifying organization). Licensure/Certification:
Current BLS certification required. ACLS certification within 60 days of hire. Experience:
Cardiology experience preferred.
