Responsibilities Clinical Care – The NP/PA provides assessment, triage, and therapeutic management of patient/family needs in inpatient, ambulatory, or outpatient settings, collaborating with supervising physicians and following hospital policies and clinical pathways. May provide autonomous team-based care and perform procedures within scope. Patient Education & Psychosocial Support – Educate patients/families on care, treatment plans, side effects, discharge plans, and provide psychosocial support as part of a multidisciplinary team. Information Management – Ensure documentation in accordance with hospital and regulatory requirements and protect information from unauthorized access. Quality Management – Maintain high standards of ethics, professionalism, and compliance with regulatory requirements. Professional Development – Engage in projects to advance competency, serve as a clinical resource or preceptor as applicable, and participate in safety reporting and quality improvement initiatives. Qualifications Education Graduate from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Program. Experience Minimum 3+ years of experience as an NP/PA. Preference for clinical experience in the specialty/service line. Appointment and credentialing requirements apply for APRNs, PAs, CRNAs, and CNMs. Licensure Active PA Certification by NCCPA, Connecticut State PA License, ACLS/BLS as required for the position, possible DEA license. PALS/NRP may be required for neonatal care.
