Position Summary The Chemistry Student Worker will work with the Chemistry department at AACC to help move labs and set up in new lab spaces. Additionally, this person will continue to help maintain labs and prep spaces.

Responsibilities and Duties

Help with the maintenance of labs (cleaning glassware, cleaning labs, putting away equipment, etc.)

Help with the preparation of labs (duties as assigned)

Help to set up chemistry labs

Set up and breaking down laptops for our monthly maintenance

Help to check and stock lab drawers between semesters

Assist with the safety checks of the lab and prep rooms spaces and safety equipment

Help to perform weekly checks on CHE classrooms and tutoring spaces to restock supplies in classrooms and Q&A sheets for general chemistry

Assist with the move from DRGN to CRSC for the DRGN Renovation project

Assist with inventories of equipment

Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

Be enrolled at AACC

The recent completion of one semester of chemistry lecture and lab (preferably finished CHE 111 and 112)

Be detail oriented and follow instructions/training provided by lab staff

Will need to be available January 2026 prior to the start of classes to assist with the move from DRGN to CRSC prior to the start of the Spring 2026 semester.

Would need to be available Friday afternoons to assist in the flipping of CHE 111 labs.
