Role Description This is an on‑site role for a Cytotechnologist located in Jacksonville, FL. The Cytotechnologist will be responsible for preparing and examining cell samples to detect abnormalities and diagnose conditions, including cancer. Daily tasks include analyzing gynecologic and non‑gynecologic specimens, recording findings, and collaborating with pathologists to ensure accurate diagnostics and patient care. The role involves maintaining laboratory equipment, adhering to safety protocols, and following quality control measures.
Qualifications
Experience with preparing and examining gynecologic and non‑gynecologic specimens
Proficiency in detecting cellular abnormalities, such as cancer, and diagnosing conditions
Skilled in maintaining laboratory equipment and adhering to safety protocols
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities with pathologists and healthcare professionals
Detail‑oriented with strong analytical and observational skills
Ability to work on‑site in Jacksonville, FL
Certification as a Cytotechnologist by an accredited program
Bachelor's degree in Cytotechnology or a related field
