Overview
Seeking Physician Assistant to Join our Provider Network. Perform Disability Exams to Veterans and Separating Military Members. Responsibilities
Perform Compensation and Pension (C&P) exams for veterans in the provider's area. Conduct pre-discharge head-to-toe physical exams for soldiers who live or are stationed in the area. Perform general medical examinations and related assessments as part of disability evaluation processes. Interpret pulmonary function tests (PFTs) and electrocardiograms (ECGs). Perform pelvic examinations when required. Conduct musculoskeletal assessments with full range of motion, and limited neurological assessments. Complete cardiopulmonary examinations. Maintain an office-based practice within 50 miles of the job posting location; availability of at least 1 day per week. Qualifications
Unrestricted State license to practice. Experience performing Compensation and Pension exams is a plus but not required. Minimum availability of 1 day per week. Office space within 50 miles of the posting location. Comfortable performing Gen Med examinations. Ability to interpret PFTs and ECGs. Competent in pelvic, musculoskeletal, limited neurological, and cardiopulmonary examinations. How It Works
Monterey collaborates with the Department of Veterans Affairs to contract physicians for C&P exams for local veterans. Physicians may also provide pre-discharge head-to-toe physical exams for soldiers in the area. Exams require no treatment or follow-up; reimbursement is issued directly to you. Scheduling is based on your availability, with preference to see veterans at least 1 day per week. Exams are outsourced by the VA to individual providers nationwide. Network Highlights
See veterans/soldiers in your own office. Flexible scheduling — see as many or as few claimants as you want. Claimant scheduling with 5–7 business days’ notice. Submit examination findings electronically and receive reimbursement. No complex claim submissions or denials. You do not determine benefits; you submit medical findings in a report only.
