$32.45/hr - $48.70/hr Responsibilities
Competently operates CT equipment to perform basic and intermediate diagnostic procedures, including imaging processing of body, head, chest, abdomen, pelvis, contrast, orthopedic and extremity exams. Obtains medical history from patients and compares requisitions to physicians' orders to ensure exam accuracy. Positions patient and selects scanning factors, adjusts parameters to obtain appropriate images, and observes radiation protection and safety in accordance with regulatory agencies. Prepares and administers contrast media under the direction of the Radiologist, and assists in scanning techniques. Provides measurements and additional slices for accurate interpretation with direction from the Radiologist. Post-processes images, labels images with patient name, MRU number, and scan location. Prepares and maintains records in accordance with regulatory agencies, enters patient and study information into the radiology information system, and documents billing codes of procedures performed to ensure accurate charges. Identifies equipment performance issues, performs quality assurance tests and calibration procedures, reports malfunctions, and evaluates new products/equipment. Performs patient positioning and transporting duties, including lifting and pushing/pulling, with proper technique. Demonstrates knowledge and skills to provide age-appropriate care and assesses patient data to identify age-specific needs per department policies and procedures. Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required
Radiographer license issued by the state of Wisconsin Registered Technologist (RT) registration issued by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Computed Tomography (CT) registration issued by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) to be obtained within 18 months Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) to be obtained within 6 months Education Required
Advanced training beyond High School that includes the completion of an accredited or approved program in Radiologic Technology Experience Required

Knowledge of cross sectional anatomy and basic radiation safety Competent in IV and venipuncture (if required by facility) Excellent communication, interpersonal and patient service skills to work effectively with physicians, patients and other staff members Ability to work independently Intermediate computer skills Certification Addendum Team members will maintain annual educational requirements for hospital-based certifications (e.g., DNV, CARF or others) Physical Requirements And Working Conditions
Must be able to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders frequently throughout the workday Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist; up to 20 lbs over the head; carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance Must be able to push/pull with 30 lbs of force; perform a sliding transfer of 150 lbs with a second person present Must have clear speech, vision and hearing May be exposed to mechanical, electrical, chemical, and radiation hazards as well as blood and body fluids; PPE must be worn as necessary Operates all equipment necessary to perform the job This job description indicates the general nature and level of work expected of the incumbent.
