Lead Medical Lab Scientist - Microbiology - Full-Time

Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week, 2nd or 3rd Shift. Department: fast‑paced, high‑complexity microbiology hub serving ten hospitals. Responsibilities
Evaluate and troubleshoot specimens and test processes to ensure specimen integrity throughout testing. Facilitate workflow, monitor outstanding tests, and resolve timing or collection issues. Perform development, verification, validation, and implementation of molecular tests. Assist coworkers in providing timely patient care. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Applied Technology, Clinical Lab Science, or related biological science. Completed internship in an approved Medical Technology training program. Four years of experience in a medical laboratory. Two years of leadership experience in a microbiology lab preferred. Experience with molecular testing development or implementation is highly preferred. Licensure: MT (ASCP) or MLS (ASCP) required, or equivalent state or international license upon hire. Benefits
