HonorHealth is a non-profit, community healthcare system serving 1.6 million people in the greater Phoenix area, comprising six hospitals, a medical group, outpatient centers, a cancer care network, and more, with approximately 13,100 team members, 3,500 providers, and 700 volunteers. It was formed by a merger of Scottsdale Healthcare and John C. Lincoln Health Network. Our mission is to improve the health and well-being of those we serve.
Responsibilities
Supervision and Staff Development:
Supervises, assesses, plans, coordinates, facilitates, and evaluates patient care and staff development; manages unit needs and standards using evidence-based nursing processes.
Patient Care:
Provides direct patient care, collaborates with physicians, and ensures compliance with stroke-specific protocols and education requirements.
Staff Management:
Oversees staffing, hiring, onboarding, performance evaluations, coaching, and development to ensure quality and goal alignment.
Care Planning and Administration:
Establishes and contributes to care plans, administers medications, manages IV lines, and observes and records patient status.
Financial and Policy Compliance:
Ensures adherence to policies, manages department budgets, and participates in policy revisions and committees.
Patient and Family Education:
Educates patients and families on illness management, post-treatment care, nutrition, and medication administration.
Collaboration and Quality Improvement:
Facilitates communication among departments, participates in goal setting, quality initiatives, and promotes a healthy work environment.
Professional Development:
Coordinates educational activities, participates in recruitment and retention efforts, and mentors staff.
Patient Experience and Outcomes:
Conducts rounds, utilizes evidence-based practices, and supports quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution.
Current RN license in Arizona.
Minimum of 2 years RN experience.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Obtain area-specific certification within 1 year if applicable.
