Overview
Sentara Hospital Support Services is hiring a Registered Nurse to work for the Regional Resource Pool in the Northern VA/ Blue Ridge region. Schedule: Third shift (Nights). This Flexi-pool / Swing Shifts position offers flexible self-scheduling and premium pay. This is a great opportunity for experienced RNs that are looking for flexible self-scheduling and premium pay. Requires a minimum of 48 scheduled hours per month, Night Shift Only, and at least 1 twelve-hour weekend shift per month. Availability to work at two or the three hospitals listed below is required. Hospitals : Northern VA / Blue Ridge Pool – Woodbridge, Martha Jefferson (Charlottesville), Rockingham Memorial (Harrisonburg). Must reside within 75 miles of two of the three hospitals: Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center in Woodbridge, VA; Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital in Charlottesville, VA; or Sentara Rockingham Memorial Hospital in Harrisonburg.
Responsibilities
The Registered Nurse is responsible to perform nursing care at a competent level using the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care, teaching and health promotion, and evaluation. Maintain standards of professional performance including ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice, quality, and resource utilization. Working as part of Sentara Hospital Support Services, the RN may support multiple units as qualified (e.g., Med/Surg, ICU, IMCU, ED) across the Resource Pool. Qualifications
Education Registered Nurse Diploma (Required) Certification/Licensure Active Registered Nurse License (Required) Experience Requires minimum 18 months recent ED RN experience Requires ability to work in all units for which qualified (e.g., Med/Surg, ICU, IMCU, ED) and a minimum of two different units Benefits
