Overview Department: Pharmacy

Shift: Full-Time, Variable - 8 Hour Shift

Hospital: Resurrection Medical Center

Location: Chicago, IL 60631

Responsibilities

Assists the Pharmacist in daily operation of the Pharmacy.

For Retail areas, assists pharmacists in preparation and distribution of medications.

Handles day-to-day tasks such as processing prescriptions, managing inventory, and providing customer service.

Entry-level position is a stepping stone to more advanced pharmacy technician roles.

Qualifications

Previous pharmacy technician experience preferred.

Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) required or obtained within 6 months of hire date (may be waived for current pharmacy students enrolled in an accredited School of Pharmacy).

State Pharmacy Technician License/Registration required (if required by state regulations).

High school diploma or equivalent.

Graduate of ASHP-accredited or equivalent pharmacy technician training program preferred.

340B program experience preferred (if at a 340B facility).
