Overview
Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join a behavioral healthcare group at a 358-bed, acute-care hospital with an adjacent psychiatric hospital located in Perry County, Kentucky.
Responsibilities
Psych Nurse Practitioner provides and directs the delivery of psychiatric services under the supervision of a delegated Psychiatrist.
The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner is a clinician who is responsible to assess, diagnose, treat, and provide case management for clients with psychiatric and chemical dependency problems.
The NP therapeutically intervenes in complicated mental health problems using psychotherapy, medication management, and other interventions available.
Assesses patient needs, plans and implements patient care activities, and evaluates the patient’s response to treatment.
