Emergency Room RN - Night Shift (FT) in Mayfield, KY. 12-hour night shifts, rotating weekends. Salary $60,195 - $81,244 (Based on Experience). Sign-On Bonus $17,000 (paid over the 1st year after 90 days with 2-year agreement). Partial relocation assistance. Who This Role Is For
Experienced ER nurses who stay calm under pressure, can manage multi-trauma cases and pediatric concerns, prefer night shifts with hands-on autonomy, and provide compassionate, decisive care during emergencies. Must-Have Qualifications
Valid RN license in Kentucky (or multistate compact license). Minimum of 1 year of Emergency Room nursing experience. Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 6 months of hire. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 30 days of hire. Preferred But Not Required
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). Handle with Care (HWC) certification within 6 months of hire. Solid understanding of trauma triage, ESI, and pediatric resuscitation. Experience in rural or high-volume emergency departments. Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Assess, triage, and prioritize incoming patients using clinical judgment. Carry out all components of the nursing process: med administration, documentation, re-evaluations. Monitor patient conditions, vital signs, and mental status; communicate changes immediately. Provide age-appropriate care across the lifespan. Coordinate with physicians, lab, radiology, and transport for efficient throughput. Respond to code situations and medical emergencies with poise. Educate patients and families on condition management and follow-up care. Maintain clean, safe, and compliant work areas; follow infection control protocols. Document all assessments and interventions thoroughly in the EMR. Skills and Qualities
Calm under pressure with strong decision-making in high-stakes situations. Familiarity with ER meds, crash cart procedures, and trauma documentation. Compassionate communicator who builds trust with patients and families. Team player who supports emergencies as needed.
