Overview
CenterWell Home Health is hiring a Physical Therapist Assistant, Home Health. This role supports patients in their homes with rehabilitation to regain strength, mobility and independence. Responsibilities
Administer the physical therapy treatment plan as developed by the Physical Therapist. Administer non-complex active and passive manual therapeutic exercises, therapeutic massage, traction heat, light, cold, water, and electrical modalities to patients. Accurately document daily, weekly, or monthly records of clients’ progress and submit clinical paperwork on time. Attend educational meetings and contribute to department in-services. Notify the physical therapist or Executive Director of equipment failures, supply shortages, staff or client changes, and other departmental issues. Schedule clients and perform varied office tasks. Apply infection control and universal precautions in patient care activities. Accept clinical assignments consistent with education and competence. Promote compliance with fiscal intermediaries and/or third-party payors through education and coaching as necessary. Required Experience / Skills
Associate degree in Physical Therapy from an American Physical Therapy Association program. Current state license to practice Physical Therapy. Valid driver’s license, auto insurance and reliable transportation. Proof of current CPR certification. Minimum two years experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant. Comprehensive knowledge of changes in the geriatric population. Self-directed, enthusiastic, and accepts constructive feedback. Good verbal and written communication and organization skills. Professional image and attitude for patients, families, coworkers, and others. Meets mandatory continuing education requirements and maintains clinical competency. Ability to work a flexible schedule and travel locally. Able to maintain confidentiality. Must read, write, and speak fluent English. Good and regular attendance. Pay and Schedule
Base pay range: $58,400 - $80,000 per year (40 hours/week). Pay per visit/unit: $37.00 - $52.00, per visit. Scheduled Weekly Hours: 1 Benefits
