Individual salaries will be set within the range based on factors including market data, education, experience, qualifications, and internal equity considerations. Responsibilities

GENERAL PURPOSE Sets up and utilizes all MRI equipment including imaging coils, patient monitoring systems, and related articles. Evaluates image quality by troubleshooting scanner or coil problems and scan parameters. Identifies and compensates for imaging artifacts. Reviews MRI registration and screening form to confirm safe access into magnet room. Assists in training new MRI technologists and students. Performs filming, archiving and PACS network data management for each patient scanned. Retrieves old MRI data for restoration and filming or networking. Masters new techniques with each scanner upgrade. Communicates all pertinent patient information to necessary staff. Receives training as well as regular direct supervision or guidance from more senior technologists, including orientation to the Department's infrastructure, policies, protocols, workflows, procedures and routines. Responsible for scanning patients in a safe and efficient manner, completing all associated paper and computer work, and discharging the patient from the MRI department with appropriate post MRI instructions. MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology required Or equivalent combination of education and experience LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS
