Minimum Years of Experience: 2 years of LDRP experience
Will you accept a first-time traveler? No
Patient Types / Common Diagnoses
LDRP – common high-risk diagnoses seen: PPH, diabetics requiring insulin drips, PROM, placenta previa, etc.
GYN surgical – hysterectomy
Patient Ratios
RN: Acuity-based
CNA: 1–3 per shift, 1 usually a ST
Required Licenses / Certifications
RN: BLS, ACLS, EFM, NRP – Required
NCC-EFM or RNC-OB preferred.
Skills / Responsibilities
Must have the skillset to work LDRP
RN: Experience with all aspects of LDRP patient care, circulating cesarean sections, newborn care to include heel sticks, 24 hr testing, NAS scoring, lactation support
Support within the Department
OB Tech – 1 per shift
CAN/ST – 1–3 per shift
Receptionist/HUC – patient registration, visitor mgmt. and unit secretary duties

RT 24/7
Hospitalist or OB Physician, 24/7
OB Physicians – 2 OB practices
Pediatrician
Lactation Consultants
No remote Tele Monitoring
Technology / Equipment
EMR: EPIC
IV Pumps: Alaris
Med dispensing: Omnicell
Monitors: Philips
GE Corometrics Fetal Monitors; GE Panda Warmer
Floating
Within region and scope of practice; floating to all facilities listed within region as needed
Region
Region 1 – Cabarrus, University City, Stanly, Lake Norman, Central Division (CMC Main + Mercy + LCH — peds only); could float to any facilities within region if needed
If floating mid-shift, traveler will be paid for time traveling between facilities (still on the clock)
Scheduling
RTO: Up to 6 days off; time added to the end of the contract if unable to meet contracted hours
Shift times: 7a–7p; 7p–7a
Schedule cycle: every 6 weeks
Other notes
Scrub Color: Navy blue scrubs or business casual to/from work; hospital-issued scrubs while at work
