We’re seeking a compassionate and experienced Physician Assistant (PA) to join our team as a Lead Provider, responsible for providing exceptional care and making a real impact on the lives of our patients within our urgent care clinic. Lead Providers act as clinical leaders for all clinical staff, mentoring and supporting new-grad providers as well as allied healthcare professionals. This role is ideal for a PA who thrives in a collaborative environment, enjoys mentorship, and is passionate about delivering high-quality care. Your Impact
Provide Patient-Centered Care:
Conduct health assessments, physical exams, and review medical histories to address short- and long-term patient needs while maintaining high-quality, efficient patient care. Assess patient health:
Interview patients, perform physical examinations, obtain, update, and study medical histories. Determine abnormal conditions:
Administer or order diagnostic tests (e.g., x-rays, electrocardiograms, laboratory studies) and interpret test results. Perform therapeutic procedures:
Administer injections and immunizations, suture, manage wounds and infections. Educate and counsel:
Empower patients with knowledge about their health, describe therapeutic regimens, discuss wellness and preventive care. Documentation & Compliance:
Prepare clear, complete, accurate medical records for each patient. Type, edit, and electronically sign notes, reports, and records using EMR in accordance with company policies. Maintain a safe and clean working environment and adhere to infection-control policies. Comply with legal and professional requirements and advise management on needed actions. Collaborate with a Team:
Work with other providers and health care practitioners to efficiently treat patients and plan coordinated dispositions, including transfers, in a timely manner. Act as a clinic leader when the Practice Manager is not in-clinic. Provide mentorship to new-grad providers and other clinic staff. Maintain professional knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing publications, networking, and participating in professional societies. Act as a preceptor to new staff. Who You Are
Education, Licensure, & Certifications:
Master’s degree and PA certification. Must have and maintain a DEA license with no restrictions. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by American Heart Association or American Red Cross. (CPR/ACLS online classes not accepted.) Relevant experience:
Clinical experience in emergency medicine, urgent care, or ambulatory care preferred. Leadership & teamwork:
Willing and able to mentor providers and clinic staff; strong team player. Communication:
Proactive and confident communicator, both written and verbal. Patient-focused:
Compassionate, authentic, and dedicated to patient care and belonging. Technical skills:
Proficient with Microsoft Office and clinical management systems (EMR). Knowledge:
Familiar with patient services principles, applicable laws and regulations (HIPAA/OSHA), pharmacology basics, and current medical evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment practices. Why ConvenientMD?
