Overview

The Pharmacy Manager of Clinical Operations and Accreditation serves as a key leader within UVA Health's Specialty Pharmacy, providing oversight of clinical pharmacist services and ensuring full compliance with accreditation and regulatory standards. This role manages and develops the clinical pharmacist team, oversees chronic disease management programs, and fosters strong clinic relationships to support provider collaboration. The manager ensures pharmacists in clinic settings deliver high-quality services such as evidence-based prescribing support and patient education. The manager leads all accreditation activities, including URAC, ACHC, and payer-specific program requirements, to maintain UVA's position as a trusted specialty pharmacy provider. Through collaboration with providers, clinical teams, and health system partners, the manager drives process improvement, advances new clinical service offerings, and ensures high-quality, patient-centered care aligned with UVA Specialty Pharmacy\'s mission of accessible and affordable care for all patients. Key Responsibilities

Lead the Clinical Pharmacist team, providing supervision, coaching, and professional development to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality patient care in clinic settings. Oversee clinical operations by ensuring pharmacists effectively manage chronic disease programs, conduct patient education, support providers with evidence-based prescribing, and collaborative practice agreements. Build and maintain strong relationships with clinics, providers, and health system leaders to support collaboration and integration of clinical pharmacy services. Ensure compliance with URAC and ACHC Specialty Pharmacy accreditations as well as payer-specific requirements, serving as the primary lead for all accreditation activities. Develop and refine standardized clinical workflows that promote consistency, efficiency, and measurable patient outcomes across all clinic-based pharmacy services. Partner with the Specialty Pharmacy medication access team by providing pharmacist oversight and clinical guidance to support benefit investigations and reduce patient access delays. Monitor performance through defined metrics, scorecards, and quality assurance reviews to drive continuous improvement. Establish credible relationships with stakeholders and health system partners including clinic leadership, providers, and pharmacy teams to identify opportunities for clinical service expansion and integration with health system initiatives. Support the growth of UVA\'s specialty pharmacy services by ensuring readiness to capture volume from new payer & LDD contracts and programmatic growth. Minimum Requirements

Education: Pharmacy degree (B.S. and/or Pharm.D.) from an ACPE accredited College of Pharmacy required. Master\'s degree preferred. Experience: 1 year of experience required, management experience preferred. Specialized residency training in pharmacy administration will be considered in lieu of experience. Licensure: Commonwealth of Virginia State Board of Pharmacy License required. Physical Demands

This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings and programs. Position Compensation Range: $115,827.00 - $231,655.00 Annual Benefits
