Job Summary and Responsibilities
Perform accurate and timely laboratory testing, analyze proficiency samples, and meet turnaround times.
Act as departmental proxy during supervisor absence.
Complete all required patient result records and documentation.
Perform stat procedures within established time targets.
Use good judgment and independent thinking for patient result correlation and interpretation, including delta checks.
Review pending logs (OSR) and result logs, resolve workloads, and communicate to staff relief.
Execute quality control procedures per protocol and manage critical specimen/test results.
Qualifications
Associate Degree (minimum) required; Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology preferred.
Minimum one year of experience as a Medical Technologist preferred.
Florida Technologist License required or ability to obtain during interview.
Technologist License in at least one clinical specialty (Generalist highly preferred).
Specialty areas: Blood bank, Serology, Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology.
