Job Duties
Performs MRI procedures including instructing and preparing patients and performing the examination ordered. Verifies patient’s identification and confirms physician’s orders prior to the procedure. Obtains pertinent and thorough medical information/history to assist the radiologist. Completes all necessary paperwork/computer work to expedite patient flow, ensure proper completion of exams, verify images received in PACS, and prompt release of all patients. Ensures adherence to established policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance programs and safety standards. Is competent in IV starts and the use of power injectors. Performs routine x-ray and bone densitometry exams when needed. Benefits

High School Diploma/GED required. Licensed by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and in State of Texas. MRI experience required. Knowledge of safety requirements to provide instructions and to recognize and correct hazardous conditions. Knowledge of medical equipment and instruments to administer patient care. Maintains communication and cooperation with radiologists and other ancillary departments regarding changes in protocol, scheduling of procedures, exams performed and patient flow. Skilled in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, and the public.
